Compatible Electronics is NVLAP-accredited (Lab Code 200527-0) for IEC 60335-2-82 safety testing — covering amusement machines and personal service machines — across multiple editions at our Lake Forest/Silverado location.
IEC 60335-2-82 is the Part 2 particular requirements standard for amusement machines and personal service machines, used in conjunction with IEC 60335-1 general requirements. It covers electrically-operated machines intended for public or commercial use in amusement arcades, entertainment venues, service establishments, and similar locations.
These products require CE marking under the EU Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU) or RCM marking in Australia and New Zealand. Because they are deployed in public environments, immunity requirements are especially important — our lab tests ESD immunity and surge immunity in the same visit.
