What is RCM?
The RCM (Regulatory Compliance Mark) replaced the former C-Tick (EMC), A-Tick (telecommunications), and electrical safety approval marks in 2013. It indicates compliance with applicable Australian and New Zealand regulatory requirements. Suppliers must register in the ERAC (Electrical Regulatory Authorities Council) Suppliers Registration Database and appoint an Australian Responsible Supplier before affixing the RCM mark.

Real-World Testing Examples
Smart Home Hub — AS/NZS CISPR 32 + AS/NZS 4268 RCM
A consumer electronics manufacturer required RCM compliance for a smart home hub combining WiFi, Bluetooth, and Zigbee for the Australian and New Zealand market. Compatible Electronics performed AS/NZS CISPR 32:2015+A1:2020 radiated and conducted emissions testing and AS/NZS 4268 (2017) RF performance testing for all three wireless radios at Lake Forest/Silverado. The combined AS/NZS CISPR 32 and AS/NZS 4268 test package satisfied both EMC and ACMA radiocommunications requirements. Parallel testing for FCC, ISED, and Korean KC certification was performed in the same session, covering four markets from one visit.
Industrial ISM Heater — AS CISPR 11 RCM
An industrial equipment manufacturer needed RCM compliance for a 27.12 MHz RF induction heating system for Australian factory installations. Compatible Electronics performed AS CISPR 11 (2017) emissions testing at Lake Forest/Silverado, measuring conducted and radiated disturbance at the 27.12 MHz fundamental and harmonic frequencies across all operating power levels. Class A Group 2 limits were confirmed. The AS CISPR 11 test report supported the RCM registration, and parallel ICES-001 and FCC Part 18 measurements from the same session provided simultaneous US and Canadian compliance.
Consumer LED Luminaire — AS/NZS CISPR 32 + AS/NZS 62368.1 Safety
A lighting manufacturer needed both EMC (RCM C-Tick pathway) and safety (RCM safety pathway) compliance for an LED luminaire containing an integrated media streaming device. Compatible Electronics performed AS/NZS CISPR 32:2015+A1:2020 emissions testing for the ITE/multimedia function and AS/NZS 62368.1 (2022) product safety testing at Lake Forest/Silverado. The combined EMC and safety test package from one accredited lab completed the dual-pathway RCM technical documentation, enabling the manufacturer to register both EMC and safety compliance with the ERAC database in a single application.
